Call for Applications: Vienna Doctoral School of Philosophy Summer School 2023

We would like to inform you that the Vienna Doctoral School of Philosophy is extending the deadline for its upcoming summer school. This year’s summer school—Inclusivity and Ethics—is a three-day event that will take place at the University of Vienna from 10-12 July. The format of this year’s summer school will consist of three days of peer presentations. Applicants are asked to submit a short abstract for a presentation on the above-mentioned theme that they will deliver in the presence of their peers and esteemed instructors for feedback and advice. Each day of the school will include presentations and assigned readings from the school’s instructors.

Barrande Mobility - the Czech-French mobility programme for researchers

Barrande Mobility is the Czech-French research mobility programme. It is implemented in France by the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs (MEAE) and the Ministry of Higher Education and Research (MESR), and in the Czech Republic by the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports (MŠMT). The objective of the programme is to encourage the development of scientific exchanges between laboratories of the two countries, by promoting new cooperation and the participation of young researchers and doctoral students. The call is open to all scientific fields and the projects submitted must fall within the field of fundamental research.

The program will include a general presentation about French-Czech double-degrees, a detailed presentation from representatives of 3 double-degrees, and the testimony of Czech students currently enrolled/recently graduated.

New grant for the French + Sciences Summer school

Are you currently studying at the Bachelor’s level and interested in Sustainable development or Transport and Energy topics? Are you eager to start learning French/improve your French, and discover a French region during the summer? If yes, the French + Sciences programme is made for you! The Campus France Office in the Czech Republic is offering one new grant to support a Czech student who would like to register in the “French + Sciences programme”, a 3-week summer school (May/June 2023) focusing on “Sustainable development” (in Montpellier) or “Transport and energy” (in Rouen – Normandy). Each programme includes site visits to companies, conferences, and encounters with specialists in the selected field, as well as French courses. No level in French is required to register to this programme: the whole scientific programme will be held in English, and the participants will attend French courses 15 hours/week (beginner or advanced level).

AKTION ČR-Austria: Deadlines for scholarships

We would like to remind you of the upcoming deadline for applying for a scholarship under the AKTION Czech Republic - Austria programme. The scholarship for the preparation of the final thesis is open to students of master and doctoral programmes for stays of 1-5 months in the winter semester of 2023/2024. The monthly amount of the scholarship is 1.150 €. Habilitation fellowships are open to postdoctoral students who have not completed 10 years since receiving their PhD at the time of application. The duration of the fellowship is 1 to 5 months. The monthly amount of the fellowship is € 1.250. This fellowship is announced only once a year and stays can be carried out in the academic year 2023/2024.

The Scholar Foundation Scholarships for the academic year 2023/2024

The Scholar Foundation offers financial support to those interested in studying for a Master's or PhD program at foreign universities as well as to students travelling under inter-university agreements, especially to non-European destinations or prestigious universities in Europe. The selection process is currently open for the academic year 2023/2024. University of Vienna: Summer school for International and European Studies

University of Vienna: Summer school for International and European Studies offers students the opportunity to earn 16 ECTS credits during the four-week program, from July 15 – August 12, 2023. Students can choose from courses in law, politics, economics, history, cultural studies and German. As the campus is located in Strobl, Austria, on the shore of Lake Wolfgang we also offer a rich sports and cultural program.
