Exhibition Art(e)facts 

Join us on an imaginary walk and discover remarkable objects connected with the Faculty of Arts MU. These artefacts are truly unique: they are generally not displayed or presented. You have a unique opportunity to peek behind the scenes of each department and institute. Can you identify the objects in the photographs and which research specialism they refer to?

Ensemble Versus: Ad manus 

There will be music by the Ukrainian composer Valentyna Silvestrov, the premiere of a revised version of a guitar quartet by composer-in-residence - and this time also performer - Ondrej Kyas, an a cappella work by James MacMillan composed for the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II and a piece by the American composer Caroline Shaw, which inspired the concept of the whole evening. For the first time, Ensemble Opera Diversa will be conducted by Patrik Buchta, one of the choral directors of the associated and present Ensemble Versus. The concert will begin at 7:00 PM.

Silent Disco: The Beatles Edition 

The Department of Musicology at the Faculty of Arts MU, in cooperation with the FAINE café, is organising a thematic silent disco party on the ground floor of the N building on Janáček Square. You can expect a pre-recorded headphone chat with musical samples, "Sergeant versus Revolver" prepared by musicologist Petr Mečkovský. After that, the silent disco will break out - you can choose from the discography of The Beatles and two other mixes of dance music, oldies and rock'n'roll. The café will always be open with a themed offer: do you want to sip a drink? Here Comes the Sun? And about the AutStrawberryry Fields Forever dessert? Start at 4:00 PM.
