Dear students,
The suction cup that marks the library of the Faculty of Arts is beginning to turn red, which can be read as a clear sign that the beginning of the academic year is in sight. The beginning of the academic year is always a bit of a thrill - the weeks may slowly gain a firm schedule, but there remains room for many unknowns.
Not surprisingly, the start of the school or academic year is a frequent theme of books, series or films. Consider, for example, the iconic assignment of male and female students to Hogwarts dorms, Neil Perry and Todd Anderson's (Dead Poets Society) first encounter with an inspiring and wholly unconventional teacher, or the Derry girls' early morning travels, diverted on the very first day of school due to a suspicious package on a bridge. Are you curious to see what the start of the academic year brings for you?
Of course, there's plenty planned for you in addition to the unplanned meetings and experiences, starting with orientation week. Take a look at the schedule and pick what appeals to you. Suppose you want to use the beginning of the semester to pursue your own project. In that case, you can apply for Support for student associations and cultural and artistic activities at the Faculty of Arts MU by October 3. Ideas that will enliven student life at the college - from lectures and cultural events to magazine publishing - are encouraged. And did you know that it's also possible to get credit for social activities through the new SPOLU_ARTS course?
Whatever you're looking forward to in the new academic year - new experiences, old friendships or interesting courses - we hope your expectations will be fulfilled. We are already looking forward to seeing you.
